![]() ![]() ![]() We’d highly recommend taking at least five days to drive the route – 500 miles might not seem like a lot, but the route is meant to be enjoyed, and many of the roads are single track and therefore can be slow going – especially if you are driving a larger vehicle like a motorhome! More time is always better, as you’d be able to fit in more fun activities such as hiking, clay pigeon shooting, kayaking, whale watching tours, and fly fishing. We also have a 5 day North Coast 500 itinerary to help plan a quicker trip. We think seven days is a good amount of time to see a lot of the route without rushing too much, although you could adjust this by a couple of days either way depending on your time constraints.
